Yahoo Tried to Buy Google?

What would the internet be like if Yahoo had purchased Google back in 2002?  It may seem like a crazy thought, but according to Wired magazine, it was a lot closer to happening than most people ever realized.

According to the article, Yahoo instead tried to compete with Google, and we all know how that has turned out.  :)   The few people that now use Yahoo’s search are people that use other Yahoo services and find it convenient.

I’m a huge fan of Google, their vision, and the simplicity of their services.   I can’t imagine an internet where Google is being confined to someone else’s vision.   Plus, the competition between the two is a huge benefit to the users like us!

So, what do you think the internet would be like with Yahoo owning Google?

    My life would be much harder without Google. They believe in no pop-up ads.
