Happy Birthday Wordpress.com

Even though I don't like their set up, I guess I can still wish them a happy birthday.

The unfortunate thing about Wordpress.com is the fact that people will sign up, launch a blog and then a few months later they'll realize that they're not allowed to monetize their blogs. And then they are stuck living with that or forced to get a new self hosted WordPress blog or Blogger.com

If you are not going to fork out money for hosting, then get a Blogger.com blog to start with. You can monetize your blogger.com blog and you can eventually point your blogger.com blog to a domain name if you decide to buy one... Additionally, when the time comes to step things up, you can easily migrate your Blogger.com account into a self hosted Wordpress blog.

Don't get me wrong... I am a Wordpress junkie. I know Wordpress like the back of my hand. However, Wordpress.com is a terrible place to call home. You are stuck there, can't make money there, and you share space with terrorists. LOL!!!
