Save Yourself Some Time With GetHuman
July 10th, 2007
There is a lot of time in life spent wasted as it is, so why waste your time on hold with large companies trying to dig out of those pesky automated systems? GetHuman tries to recover some of that lost time by offering an 800 number and the process needed to bypass the voice response unit (VRU) for 500 of the largest businesses out there, and connect you with a human being. Simply find the company you are looking to contact, then follow the process provided, and you should be able to bypass the machine and deal directly with a human representative.
You’ll find processes for businesses broken down into the following categories:
- Automotive
- Credit
- Finances
- Government
- Hardware
- Insurance
- Internet
- Mobile
- Pharmacy
- Products
- Shipping
- Software
- Stores
- Telco
- Travel
- TV/Satellite
- Utilites
This is definitely a site to bookmark for future reference.

Thanks for the link Kyle.
This is a pretty cool idea. Thanks for posting, Kyle (and you too Listikal!)
It seems like a huge database used right?
It’s about 500 large companies. If you click over you can see where they explain how to navigate the automated system to speak directly with a human being.
This is a really cool idea. I remember seeing a news report a while ago about just this thing. I get so tired of the endless options, oh and my favorite: “please listen to this message as some of our options have changed.” No they haven’t!!!!
