Popular Posts – October 2007

Like I mentioned in a previous post, this has been an incredible month here at Kyle’s Cove. With the exception of the PageRank debacle, I have nothing to complain about. My passion for blogging seems to be at an all time high and traffic is up, subscribers are up, readers and comments are up.

It’s always easier to to blog when you enjoy what you write about, so I am very fortunate in that respect. I also owe a lot of thanks to my readers/commentators, who use the comments as a way to engage in some pretty good discussions. Here are my top 3 commentators for the month of October:

  1. Ryan Wagner
  2. Karthik
  3. Madhur Kapoor

Not surprisingly, many of my popular posts for October 2007 were also some of my most commented posts. Here they are, in case you are new here or just missed it:

  1. WordPress Theme Tip: Separate Your Trackbacks From Your Comments
  2. Google AdSense to Give More Control to Its Users
  3. How To: Create Your Own FeedFlare
  4. Make Money Online with PayPerPost
  5. Blogging Discussion: What Blogging Mistakes Have You Made?

Oh, and I don’t want to forgot to give a special thanks to Garry Conn for advertising with this site for the month of October!   If you are interested in advertising with this site, you should be able to find everything you need on my advertise page.

  • That’s absolutely true, Kyle! I find it the hardest to write when I am trying to keep up the posting frequency and easiest when I have something exciting to share. The former takes hours to write a post and the latter, minutes. 🙂

Thanks for the highlight! I love good discussions.

  • Even i havent been affected much by the PR drop. Traffic seems to be almost the same . Thanks for the link love.

  • Congrats on all the success Mr. Kyle! After my little sabatical for the past two weeks, I’m honestly too scared to look at my RSS numbers and stuff! Maybe at the end of Nov. (#);)

K – You nailed it on the head! Sometimes I can schedule 5 posts ahead in about a half hour. Other times I spend over an hour working on a single post (or several hours on reference posts).

Madhur – You’re welcome! I think my search engine traffic has increased since the PR drop for some reason, though I’m not sure that will be permanent.

I’m lucky in that I get a lot of traffic from Yahoo and MSN as well (40-50%).

Bush – Yeah, glad you’re back! It always sucks when blogging takes a back seat to work 🙁

  • Neil – Acopic SEO

Keep up the good work Kyle. I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts since I subscribed. Glad to hear your getting the traffic and readers you deserve.
