March 15th, 2007
Do you find that your shiny new Microsoft Office 2007 software is running a little slow, or at least slower than its predecessor, Microsoft Office 2003? Apparently a lot of people have. Amit over at Digital Inspiration has posted some great ideas for how to fix this problem.
His four tips include full details on doing the following:
- Disable RSS Feeds in Microsoft Outlook 2007
- Disable Outlook Add-Ins You No Longer Use
- Reduce the size of your Outlook.pst personal folder.
- Start Outlook 2007 in Safe Mode
If you use Microsoft Office 2007, you owe it to yourself to check out this post!

Please can you let me know how to implement the 4 tips above. Basically it is taking ages for excel files to open. My computer is a high spec machine, I have optimiser software and the pc is defragged so I don’t know why its slow.
