Improve Your Blog’s Traffic with Blogrush
September 15th, 2007
Today I signed up for Blogrush, based on the recommendation of several blogs I trust from around the blogosphere. So far, it seems to be very similar to the Good Blogs, in that you place a widget on your website and display links to other websites. The difference is that they attempt to match the widget’s content to your blog’s content, allowing you to display relevant links to others. It also measures widget impressions, meaning that sites that get more traffic will get more time displaying on other blogs using the widget!
Rather than write up a full review, here are a few detailed reviews I really enjoyed:
- Blogrush: Free Blog Traffic – Andy Beard
- Find New Readers For Your Blog & Tips to Generate Traffic – ProBlogger
I think its important to note that I read a lot of Blogrush reviews from high traffic blogs and noticed that I couldn’t find a single one using the widget. I’ve decided that I will actually give it a try, so you will find the widget proudly displayed in my sidebar for awhile while I measure the impact it has on blog traffic.
So far, my only compliant is the lack of customization available for the widget. Also, some many not be eligible to use the widget as blog’s are required to be written in English.

Well I am certainly using the widget, though I wouldn’t class my blog as high traffic.
I believe it is also on Shoemoney and John Chow – but I don’t class them as necessarily high traffic
When you see people with very large email lists promoting this, the traffic becomes insane, but that doesn’t mean that you will necessarily gain more signups.
I am not actually sure what the maximum potential natural exposure of these widgets is. As far as I know, Mybloglog hasn’t reached 300,000 users yet.
Based on the number of emails I have received, if this doesn’t hit 100,000 active users within a week I would be amazed.
I signed up as well last night. I’m hoping I get better results with it than I did with the Good Blogs. That’s why I had to take that one down — just taking up space and serving no traffic. But with the likes of bigger blogs using it, perhaps it will sustain more growth.
Hi Andy,
Thanks for stopping by!
I just went and looked and still did not see it, but I was able to figure out what happened. Apparently my NoScript was blocking it on your website.
I know Darren said in his post he wasn’t using it, so I didn’t miss it there at least!
I signed up for that as well. I don’t think I’ve received any visitors yet from it but it seems like it’s worth a shot for a while.
I signed up for it too after Chris mentioned it at Blog-Op..
Kyle, your Sign Up link gives me a page not found error. You don’t want to miss out on the sign ups do you?
K – Thanks for letting me know! I tested it Saturday night and it worked fine, so I’ll have to figure out what is going on. It looks like my other links seem to be working fine.
Have you had any success with Blogrush yet?
I haven’t checked the stats or anything yet. And I haven’t posted about it yet to get referrals either. But, it could be very well like AdGridWork but I hope not.
