Its not an independent web browser. I don't think Microsoft should give up, they just need to apply some resources and try. They haven't put much effort into their browser since 2001. Because competition is a good thing, and egos are involved, I'm hoping the success of alternate browsers will give Microsoft the push they need to really try to improve Internet Explorer.
