Have you ever noticed that most blog’s tend to come with that standard orange RSS feed icon on there blog? Even custom WordPress Themes will come with the boring orange RSS feed logo. Some people might feel that using a standard orange feed icon makes it easy for readers to find your feed, but I prefer to keep the blog’s look as clean and polished as possible, by using a feed icon that is appropriate for my site’s theme.

Previously, this required the use of a digital image editor such as Adobe Photoshop or The GIMP, but thanks to Feed Icons, you now have an easy way to get a feed icon that matches the look of your blog.

Feed Icons now offers large downloadable packages of a wide variety of feed icons to choose from. You can get a large number of colors, or if you are a developer, one of their packages includes a variety of sizes, as well as colors, to choose from. You can also get them in all sorts of formats, including the developer’s favorite .gif format!

If you need coding help, they provide some additional information in their coding help section to assist you in displaying your feed icon how you want on your blog.

Update:  I just noticed that Design Bliss just posted over 35 different styles of RSS icons, which is a great post showing some variable RSS icons.
