GMail Soon To Be Offline Courtesy of Google Gears
September 15th, 2007
It looks like Google Gears continues to improve my life. According to TechCrunch, it looks like Google is in the process of releasing an offline version of GMail which will allow you to complete all of your GMail functions offline (reply, delete, etc.), and then sync up to your GMail account using Google Gears to complete all your requests.
With the rumors of Presentation soon to be released, GMail going offline seems like it would do a great job of rounding out their office suite that is designed to compete with Microsoft Office. At some point, will all of Google’s office suite go offline with Google Gears? I certainly hope so, but I would still prefer an actual desktop version of each application that syncs up with their online counterparts (especially GMail).

I would too love this if it happened .
