Firefox Extensions: Top Download Plugins
March 16th, 2007
If you do a lot of downloads, there are a lot of great Firefox extensions out there that can make your life a lot easier.  Here are my favorites in no particular order:
- FlashGot – Popular Firefox extension that allows you to download one link, multiple links, or every link on the page in one click.
- Download Status Bar gives you the status of a file you are downloading as it downloads. It includes where the download is from, where it is going to, the status of the download, the download time remaining, and the percentage completed of the download.
- DownThemAll! – Download Them All adds advanced download capabilities, giving you the opportunity to download all images or links on a particular webpage, and claims to speed up your download speed by up to 400%.
- Download Manager Tweak – Modifies the download manager’s appearance and allows you to open it in separate windows, a sidebar, or in its own tab.
- Video Downloader – Adds an icon to your status bar that allows you to download all types of videos with a single click. This is ideal for people that like to download YouTube and Google videos.
- Download Helper – Allows you to download content from web pages with one click, including YouTube videos, and more!
- PDF Download – Allows you to adjust how PDF is handled within Firefox to your specifications.

Sounds great!
Firefox really serves well for different types of users!
