Firefox 3.0 Now Available For Download
June 17th, 2008
I know I’ve become notorious for really long posts lately, so I’ll make this one really quick! I just wanted to let everyone know that you can now download Firefox 3.0.
If you’ve been following this site for awhile (or you dig through the archives), you’ll know that I have a serious man crush on Firefox, so this is a very exciting day for me. Even though I always try the betas and release candidates, there is nothing like making it official.
If you’ve tried out Firefox 3.0, what are your thoughts?

I’ve been using it since it was released earlier today and love all of the new features but hate the new UI. I would suggest everyone download a theme for it to gain back valuable screen real estate.
Is it stable? What’s the add-on support like? Not sure how long I can go with my add-ons not working. Maybe it’s hit or miss.
@ Michael – The theme isn’t so bad once you get used to it, but yeah, I can definitely see someone wanting to add a theme or style.
@ Mark – Yes, it was officially released yesterday (not a beta or release candidate). If you have incompatible Add-ons, you can use Nightly Tester Tools extension to make them compatible. This worked for me, but I found it forced a critical error and my Firefox wouldn’t boot. I had to disable them when in Safe Mode, then go in and figure out which ones didn’t work. The others seem to work fine when forced to be compatible.
