Wp-SpamFree stops spambots from hammering your site and cuts them off at the source without stupid captchas. I used to have to waste time going through my Akismet queue for legit comments that got tagged as spam. No more - it saves me so much time and frustration - I keep Akismet because it handles trackback and pingback spam. WPAU makes upgrading your blog to the latest version of WordPress super easy.
