Announcing Hack WordPress
November 2nd, 2007
Over the past few years I have been very fortunate to have found both fulfillment and personal success with writing here on my personal weblog, Kyle’s Cove.
My main focus has always been and always will be to share my experiences with making money online, offering my thoughts on the latest technology news, and discussing what has and hasn’t worked for me when it comes to blogging. We all try new things and some work, while others don’t. I really enjoy exploring both to try to maximize what does work, while learning from those ventures that don’t work out as intended.
About a month ago, I noticed that this blog was steering off course more often than I originally intended, and focusing quite a bit on WordPress. I decided this was one of those opportunities where I can put myself out there and try something new to see how it works. I was fortunate enough to find a great domain name, so on October 2, 2007, I officially launched Hack WordPress. At first I thought it would be difficult to maintain two sites at once, but so far it hasn’t been bad at all.
Over the past month since its official launch, I have been writing about everything WordPress on that site, ranging from plugin and theme reviews, to hacks, tips, and the latest WordPress news. The feedback has been really good, and I’ve already topped 100 subscribers, so I decided it was time to officially announce Hack WordPress to the world.
I’ve seen many of my readers pop up on the MyBlogLog widget over there, so I’m sure this isn’t any secret to some of you, but now everyone knows about it. Check it out and feel free to share your thoughts below!

Looks like a really great site Kyle! Nice Job.
Very professional looking, Kyle! Awesome job.. added to my reading list!
Thanks Ryan and K! That means a lot coming from both of you. I’m pretty happy with the design, although a new logo is on the way, hopefully within the next two weeks.
I think my love for WordPress grows every day, so I have a lot of fun writing on that website. Most of it is stuff I’ve learned while designing this theme, but I also learn new stuff sometimes while researching posts!
It also allows me to avoid writing about WordPress on this site and instead focus on tech news and blogging tips.
Hey Kyle, I am a big fan of your Hack WordPress Blog and definitely love it. I am one of your regular readers there and simply love the content.
I would be glad if you would give me a chance to contribute to Hack WordPress.
Anyways congratulations and best of luck.
It is rare to read such an endearing post on the joy one finds in a successful blog, without sounding pompous. You have done it and I compliment you on it. My best wishes for success in both the blogs.
Keith – You have a knack for WordPress, so I would be glad to set you up as a guest author.
I think the readers would enjoy it and get you some extra exposure.
Dining Tables – Thanks for the compliment! I’ve just had this one site for the past 1.5 years, so it is a bit of a change writing for two sites pretty much daily. Thanks for reading and commenting!
I love it! You got yourself another regular buddy. Nicely done.
Great posts, Kyle. I just subscribed to the feed.
That’s a lot of compliments, so i shall certainly check out hack wordpress.
Thanks everyone for checking out Hack WordPress. Subscriber count sure jumped!
Keith is now on board as a guest author as well. If anyone else is interested in writing for Hack WordPress, please let me know.
I guess this is another blog I need to add to my RSS reader. I also started a blog about WordPress a few months ago but I’ve actually found it a little bit harder to write for more than one blog, I’m experimenting with different ways I can keep blogging on both without any decrease in quality.
