WordPress Theme Tip: Separate Your Trackbacks From Your Comments
October 6th, 2007
When it comes to WordPress, there are a lot of amazing themes that are available for anyone to download and use without any coding knowledge. Unfortunately, many of these same themes for some reason don’t come with the trackbacks separated from the comments. A few poorly placed trackbacks can interrupt the flow of a conversation in the comments, so it is definitely a big theme improvement to move filter them out and display them below the comments.
If your theme mixes the two and you’re looking for an easy way to separate them on your theme, Hack WordPress has you covered. Included are a few easy steps that you can follow to separate them on your theme. If you decide to go through with this, I would first recommend you backup your comments.php file just in case something goes wrong, so you can start over at the beginning and try again.

Kyle, this post is awesome timing for me! This is at the top of my list to do this week.
Very useful and such an easy quick hack you can do to your WordPress blog. Thanks for finding this. I am sure it will help tons of people. I am stumbling this page as well as the original page that you linked to.
