Here are a few posts I’ve found around the blogosphere that are worth reading:

  • Inside Google gives us an incredibly easy way to bring back the WordPress Post Preview. This is useful for anyone who has upgraded to WordPress 2.2 or later and wishes they still had the popular post preview.
  • 45n5 has compiled a list of the Top 100 making money online blogs. The list is compiled by rankings, so no human emotion is involved. The usual suspects are at the top, but further down are several nice blogs that most people probably don’t know exist.
  • Xinu is a website that allows you to easily check your sites progress. Type in your URL and you’ll see a snapshot of all your rankings, backlinks, and more!
  • Blogging Tips has a great post up about how to avoid duplicate content by using excerpts. The idea is to use posts excerpts instead of full posts on basically everything but your single pages (home page, search results page, archives/categories pages) so that Google doesn’t think you are listing duplicate content on your website. I personally find it easier and provides a better experience for readers if you block these pages using a Robots.txt file.
  • Mashable has compiled a post of 30+ Opera Skins.  I’m not a huge fan of the standard Opera look so I really enjoyed having the screenshots available in this list to select from.
  • Garry Conn gives his thoughts on Alexa and their ranking system.  Garry does a great job of covering all the angles in his post.  I truly think Alexa is ridiculous, but until they get a legitimate competitor that is willing to do a better job, Alexa is here to stay.
  • Web Worker Daily gives 6 tried and true ways to make money online.  This post goes beyond the typical methods of making money online.

That should keep everyone busy for today.   I’ve got a few big posts scheduled to appear throughout this week, so I recommend you check back regularly or subscribe to my feed!
