Sandbox Contest Winners Announced

Two full months after announcing their contest, Sandbox.org has announced their winners. For those unaware of Sandbox, it was designed as a WordPress theme that is simplistic by design. Using CSS, the contest allowed users to express themselves and make unique designs to give the look and feel they were after.

Contests like this are always fun to follow.  It’s great to see what things can be done with some suggestion and a little imagination.
On a side note, it looks like the WordPress Plugin Competition 2.0 was finished on July 31st, and a LOT of great plugins have been submitted! Â My vote goes to my friend and reader of this site, Keith of Techie-Buzz, for his plugin called WordPress Automatic Upgrade.











Congrats to all the winners. Arpit’s theme was really good one.
There are a lot of nice themes there. I’m not sure which is my favorite though.
I loved SandPress and Diurnal. They make my palms itch to change my theme yet again.
I understand that feeling, or at least I used to. Now when I see something sweet that I like, I try to find a way to integrate those new and interesting features into my existing theme
