Firefox Extension: Better Gmail 2.0

It looks like Google recently upgraded their mail to Gmail 2.0 for many users, but when doing so managed to break a majority of the Greasemonkey scripts that have been made for it.  Google has responded stating that they are making a Greasemonkey API to help make Gmail more compatible with Greasemonkey.

In the meantime, it looks like Lifehacker has responded to the change with the release of their upgraded Firefox extension Better Gmail 2.0. Unfortunately, this extension includes a lot less scripts than Better GMail 1.0. Notable missing scripts include Folders4GMail and Google Reader Integration.

If you are interested, it looks like Ryan of CyberNet News has created a script called HTML Signatures for Gmail 2.0, which will allow you to insert your HTML signature into your e-mails.

  1. Thanks for the tips! I got a little sad when I saw that the Greasemonkey script didn’t work as it should when they updated Gmail.
